Trouble with chin hairs!

I don’t feel like working this weekend, and I’ve just been vegging, so I thought I’d write a post about this troublesome problem.

I’m not alone in this – many women suffer from chin hairs, as their hormone levels decrease, and hair starts growing where it shouldn’t!! Is this another sign of old age??

Before my cancer, I had lots of them, all black in color, as the color of my hair was very dark brown. So I could see them, and pluck them. After all, if I could see them, then others could too – and it was very disturbing to think that everyone was looking… of course they probably weren’t and maybe the hairs were too small to see with the naked eye (lol).

Once I went through cancer treatments back in 2006, I lost all of my hair and the chin hairs disappeared. Yeah!! At last, no more problems.

But, wait, I spoke too soon. Now that the hair on my head is almost all grey – the chin hairs are too! Well, that’s great, because then no one can see them, and they shouldn’t be so bothersome. Except…

They are bothersome to me, because I can still feel them – maybe they are smaller, don’t grow as fast, but they are still there… and I can’t see them! How do you pluck chin hairs that you cannot see???

You would think that if I couldn’t see them, I would not be worried about feeling them, and just ignore the situation. Wait, ladies – is that how you handle it? Do you just ignore the hairs that you can feel but not see? I know they are there and it must be an obsession with me.

Any suggestions? Maybe my eyesight is getting so bad that I can’t see them anyway. But the tweezers always come out as soon as I can feel one poking it’s tip of the skin….

Oh well, thought this post would give y’all a chuckle.

  • There is no doubt in my mind I’m doomed LOL. My grandmother had lots and lots of those gray chin hairs. I catch my mom plucking them all of the time. Ahh the things I have to look forward to LOL.
