You know, we have a produce stand.  Right now we are selling sweet corn, and watermelon – we’ve had lots of different vegis during the summer, but it’s kind of winding down for right now.

Anyway, I had a customer call this morning to pick up 100 ears of sweet corn. Many of our customers do that, so they can freeze the corn.

So, I’m going outside to bag up the corn, and found

This praying mantis has a grasshopper in her hands – I stood watching for awhile, the grasshopper was still alive when I was taking these shots.

That all happened about an hour ago, and as I look out the window – I can still see her there.

I just went out to look closer, and she’s still there, enjoying her meal.

True nature. The fact that she latched herself to our fence instead of resting on the grass, is a delight!
