Look at what Linda is doing now!

Back in April, I did a post on book covers and bookmarks. One of the artists I mentioned, was Linda Lewis.

Linda is a “self-taught general artist who enjoys watercolor, colored pencils, and acrylics”. She offers “functional art” in the form of hand-painted watercolor stationery, note cards, thank-you notes, greeting cards and calendars, as well as etched and painted glassware, hand-painted aprons, totebags and placemats, plaques, planters and more.

Her talent as far as painting is concerned – is limitless – all she has to do is visualize what she wants to make – and then voila – she does it! You can see her artwork – here!

Along with her DH Harvey, Linda has come up with the most unusual critters!

These owls are now mounted on metal posts at each side of the bottom of their driveway. The eyes are made of reflectors, so they light up when car lights hit them.

This is attached to a huge tree at the top of their driveway. The sunglasses are made from mirrors that reflect car lights at night.

critterwall

The ‘Critter Wall’ is the brick wall to the right side of their garage and can be seen from their driveway. The next critter – still in the works – to adorn this wall will be a dragonfly. Can’t wait to see that one. And see which one catches the ladybug!

And now for my favorite -

Linda’s husband thinks this is ‘Super Chicken’. Linda calls him ‘Poppycock’. I have to tell you that when she sent the picture of this critter – I laughed so hard, I almost fell out of my chair!

Here is a closer view – isn’t he just the most adorable whatever you have ever seen???

As Linda told me – these item are way too heavy to be able to ship – but imagination is the key – they imagine and then they build. What a delight!
