My writer and I thought this would be a good time to start a contest at Sandi’s T’s. My writer is Linda Lewis – who is an excellent artist – whose work can be seen at Creative Art Works.

In addition to be an artist, she is also an excellent writer.

I discovered long ago – that I can’t do it all! And it was hard to let go of some of my responsibilities. It’s kind of like being a Mom – which I am, to 2 children and 4 step children. You have to let them take over part of what you do every day, or you could never get everything done. So I taught them to clean their rooms, do laundry, make beds, and cook.

Oh, don’t get me wrong – I didn’t turn everything over to them – but in order to have a loving home and family, you have to give them chores – so when they are out on their own, they don’t fall flat on their faces. Did I succeed? I hope so – as they are all out in the world, doing for themselves and their families.

Sorry, I digress. That will have to be a post for later.

On to the contest. So Linda has been rewriting the content on my website, and I asked if she would be willing to do the newsletters. Oh, course, being the friend that she is, she said Yes! She also writes the newsletters for Creative Art Works – so I knew my newsletters would be good too!

We decided to announce a contest with each newsletter, and send the newsletter out the middle of each month. The one that went out on Tuesday of this week – September 15 – announced our September/October contest.

One of the product lines that I offer at Sandi’s T’s is Heritage Lace. Based on the timing of the contest and the drawing which will be the morning of Oct 15 – we decided to go with a Halloween theme. And Heritage Lace has delightful Halloween items.
