A few weeks ago, my sister and I were chatting and she mentioned that she bought an mp3 player, so she could listen to her favorite music while walking on the treadmill.
Ok, so I haven’t walked on mine for quite some time, and the pounds are beginning to show up and I really should start exercising. While we run the produce stand in the summer, I’m always jumping up and going outside, so I really do get a lot of exercise then. But with the fall, and very little produce, I’m in need of a better way to keep the pounds off.
I asked my sister if she liked her MP3 player and she really does – I was trying to decide if I wanted to get that, or an IPOD.
Oh, I wasn’t going to pay for it – I have lots of points on my credit card, and I figured I’d redeem them – decided on the MP3 player, as it was way cheaper than the IPOD in points and I can always use the points for something else.
I ordered the player, and it came in the mail on Friday. Gosh – I’m a computer programmer – how hard can this be?
To start with the book that came with it was a total loss – it showed me what the player looked like – what the touch screen buttons were for, how to charge the battery and that’s about it.
As far as music was concerned – it showed me how to plug the player into the computer and then it said have fun listening to your favorite songs!
Never having worked with music files before, I threw up my hands and said – on to the internet!
I went to the company site where this MP3 player comes from, and looked at the manuals. Sure looks different from what I got.
I figured out how to extract the songs from my cd and that’s as far as I get. I go to the MP3 player, and don’t see the songs listed, no matter which option I pick.
I’ve tried again, guess I’m going to have to print the manual and work with it page by page -
Reading down the page – it says something about syncing the computer with the device – wow – there is even an icon! Yeah the songs are on the player. Now I need to figure out how to set up a play list – so I don’t have to do anything other than walking on the treadmill!!!
It may take me a little longer than most – after all I’m 63 – I’ll get there!
