Read any good books lately?

One of my favorite things to do is to read. At times I read so fast, that by the time I’m done with the next book – I don’t remember what the previous one was about.

I’m not much for reading non-fiction. I prefer romance thrillers, some science fiction, historical novels and books by Stephen King. If you could see my book case, I have sets of books everywhere. I really enjoy reading a continuing series. When the next book comes out, I always start reading from the beginning.

I try not to buy books at Wal-mart or anywhere, where I have to pay full price. We have a group in our area who has a book sale the first weekend of every month, and the books are donated from all over the area. So I usually go, armed with a load of books to donate – those that I’ve read from the last sale, and pick up some newer ones.

Tomorrow is the book sale. I looked through all the books waiting to be read in my bookcase, and I don’t have any paperbacks. I’m flying to Georgia to be with my daughter and granddaughters for a week – and I always take a few with me to read on the flights.

Right now I’m reading a book called Candles Burning by Tabitha King and Michael McDowell. It’s a strange book, and usually if it’s too strange for me, I’ll put the book away. I’m a little more than half-way, and I think I’m reading it more to see what happens to the main character. You might enjoy it.

So, have you read any books that you could recommend? Would love to hear from you!

  • I’m reading the 4th book in the Twilight series. I highly recommend the Twilight series.

I also LOVE Stephen King, short stories are mini-novels and terrific. I have almost all of them and no more room for books.
