I mentioned that I am an avid reader. And both my children are as well. My youngest daughter, who has 3 daughters of her own, has passed on that love for a good book.
Recently, I went to visit her and my granddaughters, during their spring break – and at times, you would see us all sitting in chairs thoroughly absorbed by the current book!
I took some paperback books with me to read, and devoured those as well as several that my daughter had on hand.
One day, during our visit, we went to Wal-Mart, and I decided to get a few more books, to finish out the week, as well as for on the planes. One book that I picked up, was highly recommended by my daughter.
And when I got home, I bought the second by the same author – figuring I would like the first one so much that I would want to read the second right after. Boy was I right!
The author is Susan Beth Pfeffer. Her first book is called Life As We Knew It. The second is called The Dead & The Gone. The third one, which I have not been able to find yet is called This World We Live In.
These books are all written from a teenager’s point of view.
The first book is about an asteroid that hits the moon and what happens to a famly in the suburbs.
The second book, concerning the same event is written about what happens to a family in the city.
The third book, which I am looking forward to, is when characters from both books meet up.
I won’t give you any more than that – but these books, are well worth reading. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
