Feedback Emails

I have a feedback form on my website, for customers to leave me comments about their orders, their purchasing experiences, or any concerns they might have.

It’s very helpful for me to stay in contact with my customers, and resolve any issues that come up.

No matter how secure you forms are, there are always hackers trying to use the form for massive submissions. So the programmer who developed the form codes for me to use -Will Master developed a little java script that would prevent the hacker from submitting more than once in a short period of time.

It did help – because I would get a feedback email periodically where they tried to fill in the blanks and submit multiple times but couldn’t. The hacker feedback emails have picked up. This time they are using something that puts hundreds of urls in the feedback comment box.

So instead of trying to submitted massive amounts of forms, they are now submitting once w/massive amounts of urls. I’ve gotten so that I don’t even open the email. I look at the email header – w/o opening the email itself, and I can tell at a glance that it’s a hacker email. I don’t want to miss the feedback from actual customers – so I don’t just delete the emails w/o looking first.

Hope the java script continues to work – don’t need thousands of emails coming through my server :D
