A wonderful Memorial Day Sneak Attack

I think I mentioned that I was the sponsor for our Sneak Attack yesterday. As a way of honoring veterans we all changed our avatars to patriotic themes.

Lots of people were in and out all day, as they got ready to have time with their families and friends, in traditional Memorial Day events. While it was festive, it was also a time to reflect. I come from a military family -  my dad was in the navy, my first husband was in the navy, my current husband (and last) was in the navy, my son-in-law is in the army. One of my ‘sneaky’ friends passed along this link with the background history of Memorial Day. It’s a great read.

We had lots of fun chatting in our thread about the upcoming Sneak Attack. I included clues several times a day as a way to having everyone guess who the ‘victims’ would be. But of course it’s all to support other Etsy shops just getting a start.

I selected 3 shops for last nites ‘attack’.

The first was J.Ian Boutique Jullian, the owner of the shop says, her shop is a favors and packaging specialty shop. It’s always good to have the right packaging for your customers, family members and friends. This ring box is perfect for those little gifts that you want to give – and the box makes them extra special!

Our second shop was Word Out Adorable cards that make those around you laugh, feel better, or just stay in touch. Mer and Troy are the artistic duo that created this card, I thought would be perfect for my girlfriend.

The third shop was The Wooded Lake Primitive patchwork americana, rustic and country decor. Such adorable items! This shop makes me want to redo my house in primitive decorations. I love these watermelon wedges!

Whatever your tastes, there is always something in our Sneak Attack shops that will entice you! But if you are not in a buying mood, that’s ok too – as we love to have people ‘chat’ with us about Sneak Attacks. You can even tweet about it, write a post like I’m doing or post on face book.

Our Sneak Attacks happen twice a week -  you can find out more at our Handmade Movement blog.

See you next time

Sandi
