A friend of mine sent this to me this morning – and I’ve got tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Just could not resist sharing it with you!

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to
Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and Preferred
to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like Most women – she
loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the Following letter from
the local Target.

Dear Mrs.Samsel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in Our
store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban Both of
you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr.
Samsel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance
Cameras.

June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people’s
carts when they weren’t looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute
Intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the
women’s restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,
‘Code
3 in Housewares.. Get on it right away! This caused the employee To leave
her
assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn
resulted with a union grievance, causing Management to lose time and costing
the company money.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on
Layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a ‘CAUTION – WET FLOOR’ sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the Children
shoppers he’d invite them in if they would bring pillows and Blankets from
the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying And
screamed, ‘Why can’t you people just leave me alone?’ EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a
Mirror
while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he Asked
the
clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming The
‘Mission Impossible’ theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his ‘Madonna look’
By using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through,
Yelled ‘PICK ME! PICK ME!’

14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he Assumed
a
fetal position and screamed ‘OH NO! IT’S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!’

And last, but not least:

15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, Then
yelled very loudly, ‘Hey! There’s no toilet paper in here.’ One of The
clerks
passed out.

I don’t usually stay up very late, but DH was out hunting last nite – and I noticed that Mamma Mia was going to be on HBO at 7:30pm – that would put it done at about 9:30 – and DH was not due back before then – so ok, I’m ready!!

My girl friend and I had gone to the movies to see it when it came out – but – I didn’t want to sing along with the movie in the theater – and have everyone hear my bad singing voice.

You should have seen me rocking w/the movie, dancing around, crying, singing… it was very cathartic!

DH got home about the time it was over and we went to sleep – well he did, I had music dancing in my head for hours. Not sure if I got any sleep or not – seemed to just lay there. But that’s ok, it was well worth it!

Today I read that one of my favorite giveaway sites – Bloggy Giveaways is closing up shop. And I for one, will miss it. I am sure thousands of readers will miss it as well.

It started out as a site that reviewed and posted sites that had great products to be given away,  as well as inviting visitors to check them out – by Shannon from Rocks in my dryer, and then Melanie at Don’t Try This at Home. One of their claims to fame has been the quarterly bloggy giveaways – or carnivals – that so many bloggers got to participate in.

It’s not just the giving away of a prize that’s so important, it’s the number of new people you got to meet, comments read by so many from all walks of life, and stories happy and sad that sometimes brought a tear to the eye.

Gals you will be missed – at least from Bloggy Giveaways.

As for me, I continue to read your posts on your personal blogs and laugh and weep with you!

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, ‘What are you thinking?She doesn’t care what you think.

If a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch the game, she doesn’t sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it’s usually more interesting..

Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won’t hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it’s like to be unappreciated.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest. They’ll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don’t ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it’s not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well -coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, ‘Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Here’s an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!
