The other day I mentioned that I was picking blueberries to sell, when I was stung by a wasp. While that was a very painful experience, what I have experienced the last 2 days has been very interesting. My thumb – at the sting spot – was very sore, I put ice on it, and later in [...] Our blueberries have been ripening nicely. We have 12 bushes, with several more planted this year. Last year, our crop was pathetic, because we had a hard frost right after the first berries and blossoms had formed, so they were almost a total loss. I didn’t pick even enough for the freezer, let alone, pick for [...] Last year at this time, we opened our produce stand for the first time – around the 6th of June, with an abundance of vegetables.
