When I get ready to pick tomatoes to sell, I always gather them in the early morning, before the produce stand opens up and before it gets really hot. We have a number of regular tomatoe plants that are doing well, and we have tons of cherry tomatoes and grape tomatoes. Way too many in fact. Most [...] The other nite we got 2 inches of rain, and boy did we feel blessed. After several weeks with out a drop, our crops were suffering as well as all the farmers in the area. So 2 inches was a good start. Now we could wait a couple of days before we got some more, so [...] We were woken up last nite – about 10pm (we go to bed at 8:30) with lots of rain, thunder and lightning. We have prayed for rain for so long, we were sure it wouldn’t ever get here. Well it did, kept us up for quite awhile… This morning when DH went out to check the rain [...] |
