Last year I decided to open an Etsy shop and see if I could sell some of my crocheted items. That evolved into a second shop for all my handmade items, and my original shop now sells my fabric stash, [...] Yesterday, we went to IHOP for breakfast before we went grocery shopping. When the waitress brought our order, she included 2 little containers of jam – which came from Knotts Berry Farm. I asked my DH if he had ever been there – since he was stationed in California a couple of times, and he said [...] My birthday was over a month ago – actually on May 3rd, and I turned 63. I’ve often pondered about my birthday – what I like about it, what I don’t, that I thought I’d let you in on a little secret. You are only as old as you feel. I’m sure you’ve heard that before [...] Just mentioned the problem that I had with licorice and lack of sleep. When I got ready to throw away the licorice, I looked at the ingredients. Wow – Soy was in it. I had mentioned before that my oncologist recommended that I not eat anything with soy in it – due to the cancer medication [...] For years I’ve been drinking Soy milk, using it in cooking and in my cereal. Why do I mention it now? A few days ago, I visited some of my friends from where I used to work. One of the gals there had breast cancer before I did. She has now been cancer free for 4 [...] Went to my oncologist yesterday, and everything looks good. Can’t believe that it’s been almost 2 years since I finished my chemo treatments. My next checkup is in 6 months, yesterday’s was a 4 month visit. If the next appt looks good, the rest of the appts will be on a yearly basis til I reach year [...] |
